Every Wednesday, my mother comes over to watch our girls for 1 or 2 hours so Tina and I can grab a quick dinner together alone, but Tina and I haven’t had significant time alone since the day before Avery was born, over 14 months ago!

So, I arranged to have my mother watch both of the girls for an entire day, and Tina and I went to Disneyland to go on some “grown up” rides and spend some time together... Man, that was nice! It’s far too easy to get caught up with all the activities of school, work and raising children, and to forget with whom we’ve partnered in this whole endeavor. It was nice to just hang out. No expectations, just talking and holding hands and enjoying each other’s company again.... And we managed to get on quite a few rides as well!

Disneyland is now decorated for the holidays, and it’s gorgeous. I’ve never seen the castle so beautiful. We’re going to take the girls this afternoon. Kenzie’s gonna love it! We ran into a church member who works at Big Thunder, and she sent us through twice... We saw the Aladdin Musical Spectacular at California Adventure and were quite impressed. We people watched and ate and talked and walked... So nice...

Then we stopped for dinner before going to pick up the girls. We were excited to see them, but Kenzie didn’t want to leave...

I love my wife, and I love spending time with her. It’s easy to forget that fact while engaged in the busy-ness of life. She’s beautiful, playful and such a joy to be around... and she can make me laugh like no other... We thoroughly enjoyed our time together and plan on doing this often.
