Do you sometimes have those moments when you think to yourself, “Wouldn’t it be great if I could create (fill in the blank)?” I have those moments all the time. I think, I should create a website from scratch. Or I should really get into video editing. Or I should see about learning to play an instrument. The list goes on...

All of these are good ideas. All of them would be good, cathartic, creative outlets for me. There’s only one problem: I don’t have a freaking clue where to start. I look at the blank page (figuratively speaking), and I get intimidated. Then I don’t begin to do the necessary work to get rolling in a project. Then I forget about implementing my good ideas and nothing ever happens.

Perhaps I’m just too lazy to put in the necessary work to master something in one of these areas. I sure don’t have any issues mastering movies, home theater, or Apple consumer electronics. I guess it’s ultimately just a matter of setting the time aside to get going on a project. Sure there will be a learning curve at the beginning, but once that hurdle is passed, I think I’ll really enjoy whatever it is I decide to do... We’ll see... Now I just have to decide on something.
